We have not tested it ourselves: strengths and weaknesses below come from the tests cited.

Why Railfans Carry It

RTINGS tested the Headphone Pro against travel use and found ANC that performs impressively and a battery that supports its functions for well over 30 hours, with a measured figure in the high thirties. They also note an analog connection, which they highlight for watching video on an in-flight entertainment system. Tom's Guide describes the ANC as surprisingly powerful, strong enough to block the majority of intrusive noise, while still letting through glimpses of conversation and traffic noise on a city test. Nothing adds that Transparency Mode lets some of the outside world in when you want to stay aware.

In the Field

Controls are physical rather than touch. According to Nothing, a roller changes volume, presses to play or pause and long-presses to switch noise control modes, while a slider tunes bass or treble and a customizable launch button handles a chosen feature. Tom's Guide lists three ANC modes (on, transparency and off), with low, mid, high and adaptive strengths when on, and dual-device connection through Bluetooth 5.4. For battery, Nothing claims up to 100 hours of playback, or 50 hours with noise cancelling on, and says five minutes on a USB-C charger gives four extra hours. RTINGS measured a lower real-world figure, and Tom's Guide saw the battery fall from 70 to 30 percent over seven hours with LDAC and the highest ANC strength. Nothing says the ear cushions twist on and off for cleaning or swapping. The Nothing X app, on Android and iOS, offers six preset equalizers and a custom one, ANC strength and button remapping.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Expert pick · RTINGS: RTINGS judges the Headphone Pro good for travel, with ANC that performs impressively and long battery life, and faults the soft pouch that gives no structural protection. Tom's Guide gives them its Editor's Choice badge but finds call quality inferior. Read the review

  • Round cups can press on the lower ear after a few hours (Tom's Guide)

Who It’s For

Listeners who want noise cancelling for transit waits and long journeys without flagship money; RTINGS lists it among its budget wireless and budget noise cancelling picks. It is a weaker fit for anyone who takes many calls on the headphones, or who needs a hard case to protect them in a packed bag.

Alternatives

RTINGS compares it with the Nothing Headphone (a), which adds near-80-hour battery life, wired USB-C audio and a more comprehensive app, and with the Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Wireless, which it says has better mic noise handling and overall noise attenuation but is typically more expensive.
