The maker describes two front lights, the unmistakable choo-choo sound, and a locomotive that goes both forward and in reverse with accompanying light and sound effects. It calls the toy durable and retro designed, and says it allows a child's imagination to flow and helps improve fine motor skills and spatial awareness. It is part of BRIO World, which the maker calls an open-ended play system that grows with your child: all BRIO World toys work with each other, so the locomotive can run on the BRIO World track a family already owns, and the maker says endless combinations of imaginative play are waiting to be explored.
