Sleigh Bell Special — Doon Valley Railway

The Doon Valley Railway runs the Sleigh Bell Special on selected weekends from the Dunaskin Ironworks site in Ayrshire. The operator says Santa visits to ride its vintage train through the Doon Valley, boarding the train to greet every child.

Each child up to age 15 receives a personalised gift, so the booking asks for each child's name, age and gender. After the ride, seasonal refreshments are available at the Signal Box Cafe.

Passengers park at the car park and take a shuttle bus to Dunaskin Station. Tickets must be pre-booked online; the operator does not accept walk-ins.
