About this event

The Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway, operated by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society, runs Santa Steam Trains from Bo'ness Railway Station as a start to the festive season. The operator describes it as a journey by steam train to the North Pole (South), with festive singing and complimentary refreshments, and a present from Santa for good girls and boys.

Tickets are sold as standard seating in a shared carriage (a reserved seat, where a party may have to share a table), private compartments for up to eight people, and a quiet coach. Wheelchair users cannot be accommodated in the private compartments because of their historic nature.

What to expect

A festive steam train ride with singing and refreshments, and a present from Santa for each child. Infants up to 17 months travel on an adult's lap and receive a present.
