Christmas Lights Special Train Trip — DownsSteam

DownsSteam Toowoomba is a volunteer-driven, community-led organisation that runs a tourist railway across the Darling Downs of Queensland. Its Christmas Lights Special Train Trip is listed by the operator as a special event of its own, with its own tickets.

The operator describes a festive evening outing for families and friends: guests travel on a restored train from Toowoomba Railway Station to Drayton, where the DownsSteam Tourist Railway & Museum is decorated with Christmas lights. The operator's itinerary: depart Toowoomba Railway Station at 7:00 pm, explore the illuminated museum, gardens, Dreamtime Journey Coach and restored carriages at Drayton from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm (with the cafe open), depart Drayton at 8:30 pm and arrive back at Toowoomba Railway Station at 9:00 pm. The trip starts and finishes at Toowoomba Railway Station in the centre of town; the operator asks all guests to go to Toowoomba Railway Station (not to Drayton) and to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.
