Erlebnis Modellbahn — MEC Theodor Kunz Pirna

Erlebnis Modellbahn is a model railway fair held at Messe Dresden and organised by a model railway club, the Modelleisenbahnclub "Theodor Kunz" Pirna e.V., which was founded in 1965. The club says that organising the fair has been the annual highlight of its activity since 2005, and that it is Germany's largest model railway fair run by an association.

Messe Dresden's own event page describes more than 12,000 square metres of exhibition space with more than 40 layouts from the small gauge N up to the large gauge II. Small-series and small manufacturers and specialist model railway dealers sell models and accessories, and specialist lectures complete the programme. For its last edition the club thanked 125 exhibitors from 13 countries, and for the next it announces exhibitors from 12 countries.

The club builds its own layouts in H0, TT and N and shows them at exhibitions across Europe. It also holds smaller exhibitions and an open day in Pirna, but the fair in Dresden is the event on this page.

More than 40 layouts from gauge N to gauge II, stands of small-series manufacturers and specialist dealers selling models and accessories, and specialist lectures, as described by the venue and the club. Exhibitors come from a dozen or more countries.

Held at Messe Dresden, Messering 6, 01067 Dresden, in halls 2, 3 and 4 according to the club. The venue lists the entrance at the main foyer, with car park P7 and a public transport stop. The organiser notes that only cash payment is possible on site and that there is no advance or online sale. Dogs are not allowed, except guide dogs.
