Treno storico per i Mercatini di Natale a Trento — Associazione F.T.I.

The Associazione F.T.I. (Ferrovie Turistiche Italiane), a volunteer association active in rail tourism, organises a historic train from Lombardy to the Christmas markets of Trento in collaboration with Fondazione FS Italiane. The train is hauled by an electric locomotive and made up of carriages from the 1950s and 1960s, with first- and second-class seating.

The association describes the day as a chance to enjoy the scents, food and atmosphere of the Trentino markets, travelling in the comfort of vintage carriages. The train boards at Milano Centrale and picks up passengers at Milano Lambrate, Treviglio Centrale, Rovato and Brescia, and returns from Trento the same day.

The association does not sell the tickets itself: seats are reserved through the travel agency Visione del Mondo, and reservation is compulsory. The fare quoted is a single price for the round trip.

The same Milan-to-Trento Christmas markets train has been listed on Fondazione FS Italiane's own historic-train calendar in earlier seasons.

The fare is a single round-trip price, with separate first- and second-class prices and a reduced fare for children aged 6 to under 12. Children under 6 travel free without a guaranteed seat (one child per paying adult); a seat can be requested for them at a supplement.
