About this event

Wycrail is the exhibition brand of the High Wycombe & District Model Railway Society, which reinstated it to coincide with the restoration of the historic Brunel Railway Shed. The society says the shed is the original broad gauge railway shed of the Wycombe Railway, designed by Brunel, now managed by Buckinghamshire New University and standing beside the Chiltern Railways Wycombe station.

The society describes inspirational railway modelling inside this historic venue, with many model railway layouts and wide trade support. It lists the layouts, traders, societies and demonstrators attending each show on its Wycrail page, and hot and cold drinks and snacks are on sale: the society says its exhibitions are famous for cakes.

The society also holds a separate spring exhibition, MRX, at the Cressex Community Centre, and keeps clubrooms in Duke Street overlooking Platform 3 of High Wycombe station.

What to expect

A day of model railway layouts, traders, demonstrations and society stands inside the Brunel Railway Shed, with refreshments on sale and members on hand to answer questions and offer advice.
