Model Railway Open House — Association des Modélistes Ferroviaires de Montréal

The Association des Modélistes Ferroviaires de Montréal (AMFM), also known in English as the Montreal Railroad Modelers Association, builds, maintains and operates an HO-scale (1:87) layout called the Canada Central. The association has built layouts since 1950; the club says its current layout, the Réseau Drolet, is the sixth of them, not counting a modular layout since dismantled.

The association describes the Réseau Drolet as a serpentine layout planned in four phases, with a total table area of about 1,800 square feet and more than 470 linear feet of run once finished. A raised gallery at the entrance gives visitors a view over the whole layout.

The association's members meet on Wednesdays. The public is invited to see the layout on its open house days, which the association says it holds in the spring and in the fall, and the club also receives visitors by special invitation.
