About this event

The Northwest Railway Museum runs its Halloween Train from the Snoqualmie Depot as a fall ride through the upper Snoqualmie Valley. Passengers board historic passenger cars and travel west to the top of Snoqualmie Falls, pause at the crest for a view of the lower river valley, then return east to the Railway History Campus for a 30-minute stopover with seasonal activities and a visit to the Train Shed Exhibit Hall.

The train continues east to the North Bend Depot to pick up passengers before returning to Snoqualmie. The operator says the coaches are decorated with autumn foliage and the Train Shed and Snoqualmie Depot carry mildly spooky decor. Costumes are encouraged for all ages and every child receives a small gift.

What to expect

A round trip of about two hours: the falls viewpoint, a 30-minute stopover at the Railway History Campus with seasonal activities and the Train Shed Exhibit Hall, and a brief stop at North Bend. On weekends the museum offers hot cider and live cider-pressing demonstrations. Costumes are encouraged and all children receive a small gift. The operator calls the event appropriate for all ages.
