About this event

Risex is the smaller of the exhibitions that the Risborough & District Model Railway Club organizes each year; the club's others are Railex, a large finescale exhibition in Aylesbury, and a small show in Haddenham. The club describes Risex as its smaller family exhibition, offering a fun day out with a good selection of interesting layouts, a few traders with ready-to-run models, books and specialist components, and a great second-hand stall.

It is held at the Community Centre in Princes Risborough, now called the Wades Centre, at Wades Park on Stratton Road. The club keeps a page on Risex that lists each past edition and links reports on the layouts shown.

In its latest report the club listed eight layouts, traders, societies, demonstrations by club members and its second-hand stall; the societies included the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway, the Princes Risborough Signal Box Preservation Group and the Great Central Railway Society.

What to expect
