Nikolauszug — Reblaus Express

The Reblaus Express, run by Niederösterreich Bahnen, is a nostalgic excursion train that runs between the Retz vineyards and the Waldviertel, from Retz to Drosendorf. Once a year in December the operator runs a special Saint Nicholas train on the same line, on a special timetable and with its own ticket.

The operator says that during the ride and at Drosendorf station, adults and children can enjoy Christmas treats to get into the Advent mood. On the return journey Saint Nicholas and his helpers visit all the children on board, and each child receives a surprise; the ticket includes a Nikolaussackerl for the children.

The operator lists punch, children's punch and Christmas specialities on the train and at Drosendorf station, and notes that consumption is not included in the fare. A seat reservation is mandatory.

Children up to the day before their sixth birthday travel free when accompanied, with a maximum of two such children per accompanying person; any further child pays the child fare.
