About this event

Rhein-Schauen is a museum in Lustenau, Vorarlberg, about the international regulation of the Rhine, combined with a heritage railway, the Rheinbähnle. The operator says the Rheinbähnle takes guests through the varied landscape of a nature reserve on Lake Constance, with historic electric locomotives from the 1940s or with steam locomotives from 1910 and 1920.

For the Nikolausfahrten the operator puts a steam locomotive on the train. It says the locomotive takes guests straight to Saint Nicholas, who is already waiting for the children, and that the children receive a Nikolaussäckchen from him. Back at the Werkhof in Lustenau, each child gets a children's punch and a sausage with bread, all included in the ticket.

The operator describes an Advent atmosphere at the Werkhof, where the bistro is open and food and drink are on hand.

A ride behind a steam locomotive to Saint Nicholas, who is waiting for the children and gives each one a Nikolaussäckchen. After the return to the Werkhof in Lustenau each child receives a children's punch and a sausage with bread. The bistro at the Werkhof is open.
