About this event

Skanzen Solvayovy lomy is an open-air museum in a former limestone quarry between Svatý Jan pod Skalou, Bubovice and Loděnice, about 20 km west of Prague. For the St. Nicholas season it announces "Mikulášské jízdy s peklem ve štole": rides on its motor train and a programme for children in the tunnel.

The skanzen sits in the middle of a forest in a nature reserve and can only be reached on foot, by bicycle or on horseback from the nearby villages.
