About this event

The Kolínská řepařská drážka is a former nobles' sugar-beet narrow-gauge railway in Kolín, now run as a passenger line of about 4.5 km to the station of Býchory, a trip of roughly 50 minutes. It normally runs every weekend from May to early October.

The "Čertovské jízdy" are the railway's own December event, and the operator labels them as steam operation. It also warns that steam can be replaced by diesel traction in bad weather or when staff are short.

In earlier years the railway's announcements for this weekend described Mikuláš with an angel handing out gifts at the station, devils walking around the station, and a buffet at Kolín-Sendražice. Tickets are bought in the station building at Kolín-Sendražice.

What to expect

Steam-hauled trips on the railway's line between Kolín-Sendražice and Býchory, a return ride of roughly 50 minutes. In earlier years Mikuláš with an angel handed out gifts at the station and devils moved around the station.
