About this event
The Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway, a heritage line between Chinnor in Oxfordshire and Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire, holds an Autumn Steam Gala over three days. The operator promises an intensive three days of steam, with steam haulage on gradients such as the 1 in 68 Chinnor Bank, and the gala brings guest locomotives alongside the railway's resident steam locomotive.
Beyond the trains, the operator announces brake van rides at Princes Risborough, run between steam departures and arrivals, and several road steam vehicles at Chinnor station for the weekend: a roller, a steam tractor and a traction engine are named on its page, so that road steam enthusiasts are catered for as well as rail enthusiasts.
Passengers can join the trains at Chinnor or at Princes Risborough, where there is an easy interchange with Chiltern Railways services.
