About this event

The East Troy Railroad Museum, a volunteer team preserving what it calls Wisconsin's last interurban railroad, runs Trick or Treat Trains on autumn evenings. Children and grandchildren are invited in costume for a 25-minute train ride from the museum's depot in East Troy to Jim Byrnes Memorial Park, formerly Town Hall Park.

At the park, children can go trick-or-treating, play various games and enjoy the new playground equipment before the trip back to East Troy. On returning to the depot, each child can pick a pumpkin to take home. The operator puts the whole experience at about one hour and 20 minutes.

There are two trains on each running day. Advance reservations are required, and the operator recommends buying tickets for the whole group in one order so that the party is seated together. Members of the museum receive discounted fares. The operator says the trains will not run during a thunderstorm and that it will delay or reschedule them if necessary.
