About this event

Adventszauber auf schmaler Spur ("Advent magic on a narrow track") is a series of evening Advent rides on the Lößnitzgrundbahn, the narrow-gauge steam railway of SDG Sächsische Dampfeisenbahngesellschaft between Radebeul and Moritzburg in Saxony. The operator says the "Lößnitzdackel" accompanies passengers through Advent.

The operator describes the trips as cosy evening rides at the time of year when darkness falls early, to the rhythmic puffing of the steam locomotive. It presents them as suitable for a Christmas party with a company or club, a get-together with friends and family, or a short break from everyday life. Passengers may bring their own tea or mulled wine.

The steam train runs from Radebeul to Moritzburg and back, and the operator states that these trips run in addition to the regular timetable, on the evenings listed for the event only. Riding is in principle possible without a reservation; groups of 15 or more can reserve free of charge through the operator's online form.
