Nikolausfahrten Minden-Hille — Museumseisenbahn Minden

The Museumseisenbahn Minden runs its Nikolausfahrten with the "Preußenzug", a train the operator describes as more than 100 years old, from Minden-Oberstadt station to Hille and back, hauled by a steam locomotive. Departures are three times on each Saturday and Sunday of the second to fourth Advent weekends.

The operator says the Nikolaus distributes bags with small surprises to the children on the way. The train is heated and catered, with mulled wine, children's punch and small things to eat on offer, and a ride takes about 1¾ hours.

Tickets are not tied to a person and can be passed on or cancelled, but dates cannot be changed.

About 1¾ hours on the heated "Preußenzug" from Minden-Oberstadt to Hille and back behind a steam locomotive; the Nikolaus gives surprise bags to the children on the way, and mulled wine, children's punch and small snacks are on offer.

Boarding is at Minden-Oberstadt station (Museumsbahnhof Minden-Oberstadt). Tickets are sold through the operator's online ticket shop; the operator advises booking early to be sure of the preferred date. Date changes are not possible, but the tickets are not named, so they can be passed on or cancelled.
