About this event

The Waldeisenbahn Muskau is a narrow-gauge forest railway in the Upper Lusatia region of Saxony. Its Weihnachtsmannfahrten are steam-hauled trips for families that leave from the station Weißwasser-Teichstraße and travel through the winter forest to the Kromlau park.

At Kromlau the train reaches the fairy-tale forest, where Santa is waiting. The operator says Santa will likely have a gift sack for the children and that the squirrel Wuschel accompanies the guests. The ride back to Weißwasser takes a good hour in total.

The operator describes the rides as a long-running tradition. They take place at the same time as the Romantischer Weihnachtsmarkt in Weißwasser, and before departure guests can eat at the decorated terrace restaurant "Zum Hemmschuh".
