The Christmas White Rose — Railway Touring Company

The Railway Touring Company runs The Christmas White Rose as a steam-hauled main line journey from London King's Cross to York. The operator says the outward train leaves the East Coast Main Line at Werrington Junction and runs via Spalding, Sleaford and Lincoln before heading north through Doncaster to York; the return retraces the route via Lincoln and Spalding, hauled by steam. The train picks up and sets down at Stevenage, Huntingdon and Peterborough.

Three classes are sold: Premier Dining with a full English breakfast and four-course dinner prepared on board, First with morning and afternoon refreshments, and Standard with a reserved seat, usually at a table for four. A buffet car serves tea, coffee, snacks and light refreshments.

A day by steam train from London to York and back by way of Lincoln, with time in York for the Christmas market. Meals are served at your seat in Premier Dining; First includes morning and afternoon refreshments.

Departs London King's Cross, with pick-ups at Stevenage, Huntingdon and Peterborough. Tables for two can be guaranteed in Premier Dining and First for a supplement, subject to availability. Junior fares apply to children aged 15 and under, who must be accompanied by an adult. Timings are approximate.
