About this event
regiobahn, based in Ernstbrunn in Lower Austria, runs this ErlebnisZug from Vienna to Spitz an der Donau in the Wachau. The operator says the train takes guests into the heart of the most beautiful Christmas markets along the Danube, with no parking stress and no winter driving, and that guests can choose which of the two markets to visit, Dürnstein or Weissenkirchen.
The ticket covers the train journey there and back and a reserved seat; market entry is not listed as included. A party wagon rolls with the train, with drinks and small snacks.
For an extra charge guests can ride the Wachaubahn hourly between Krems an der Donau and Spitz an der Donau to see more markets; that ticket and the entrance fee are not part of the package.
