About this event

The Rhätische Bahn offers the "Reise ins Lichterland", a steam train excursion for families run with its children's character Clà Ferrovia. The operator tells the story of an Advent light that shines in a place called the Lichterland and can only be seen by those who find it.

Clà Ferrovia leads the travellers there, accompanied by his friend Linard Bardill, and together they rehearse a special Advent song so that the carriages fill with a Christmas mood. On arrival, children and adults warm up with soup. The programme of the journey is described as a small secret; the accompanying adults get details on site.

The children travel part of the way without their adult companions in the Clà Ferrovia carriage, and one section of the trip is done on foot. Those who prefer may stay on the train for that part. The special train uses historic carriages.

What to expect

A steam-hauled special train from Landquart, an Advent song rehearsed on board with Clà Ferrovia and Linard Bardill, part of the way travelled by the children in the Clà Ferrovia carriage, a short walk to the Lichterland and soup on arrival. Weatherproof clothing and sturdy shoes are required.
