About this event

The Rhaetian Railway (Rhätische Bahn, RhB) runs the Samiklaus Express as a nostalgic special train for the whole family. It sets off from Landquart behind the steam locomotive G 4/5 107 «Albula», which the operator calls a cult engine, and passengers are accompanied by two fairies who know the way to the mysterious Samiklaus.

The operator describes steam through the snowy winter landscape of Graubünden, with anticipation, children's eyes lighting up and the scent of soup rounding off the experience. After the search for Samiklaus, young and old can warm up with soup; each child receives a lovingly filled Samiklaus sack, and the Filisurerstübli offers hot and cold drinks along the way.

The train is made up of vintage carriages. The operator lists a toilet on board and states that, because of the vintage carriages, the trip is not accessible to people with disabilities.
