The club's HO scale layout takes up most of the floor space of its 11,000-square-foot facility and has been under construction for more than 40 years. It models three fictional railroads: the Hudson, Delaware and Ohio, the Trenton Northern and the Rahway River. The club also builds an N scale layout.

Once a year the club hosts its annual Holiday Train Show and Open House. The club says that the rest of the year the building is open to the public on Saturday afternoons.
