Christmas-Express — Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij

The Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij (VSM) takes its steam train to Arnhem Centraal for its Christmas-Express. The operator offers young and old the chance to experience the nature of the Veluwe from a comfortably heated steam train, and calls it a unique experience to cross the water by steam train at the Rhine bridge near Oosterbeek and the Waal bridge at Nijmegen.

The train waits at the platform at Arnhem Centraal behind two large steam locomotives, and the old-fashioned carriages are heated with steam from the locomotive. Conductors in historic dress help passengers aboard. After a short stop at Nijmegen station the train returns to Arnhem Centraal, where passengers get off.

The steam whistle sounds along the way, and the operator notes that the train runs among the regular trains.
