About this event

The Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij (VSM) runs heritage steam trains on the Koningslijn between Apeldoorn and Dieren, with its museum steam depot at Beekbergen. For the Sinterklaas season it hosts the Sinterklaas Pepernoten-Express.

The operator says Sinterklaas comes to Beekbergen with many Pieten for a visit to the Museumstoomdepot and a train ride in one of its seated carriages between Beekbergen and Eerbeek. Sinterklaas does not only ride along: he brings a surprise from Spain for every child, and the Pieten stay busy throughout the ride.

The operator notes that Sinterklaas is fond of its steam trains and once used one to travel from Spain to the Netherlands.
