About this event

The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland runs All Aboard for Christmas at Whitehead Railway Museum in County Antrim. The visit begins with a 10-minute steam train ride within the museum premises, on heritage carriages where some of Santa's elves meet passengers.

Back at the station, children can write and post a letter to Santa and meet Mrs Claus. Each child then has a personal visit to Santa in his decorated grotto, tells him what they hope for and receives a present to take home. Children can also decorate their own gingerbread person and make a bag of magical reindeer food. The cafe is open throughout and the carriage shed can be explored.

The operator notes that this event takes place in Whitehead, County Antrim, and is not to be confused with its Santa trains from Dublin.

What to expect
