Winter Warmers Steam Gala — Apedale Valley Light Railway

The Winter Warmers Steam Gala is a one-day gala run by the Apedale Valley Light Railway, operated by the Moseley Railway Trust at Apedale in Staffordshire. The railway describes it as a chance to blow away the winter cobwebs.

The previous edition, on the Saturday after Christmas, offered a mix of passenger and freight workings, mostly on the main line, with the Field Railway added if time, volunteer numbers and weather allowed. The line-up was changed at short notice after a boiler examination was rescheduled.

The railway publishes the line-up and details closer to the day.

A single day of steam-hauled trains, with passenger and freight workings on the main line. The operator notes that the Field Railway may also be used, depending on time, volunteer numbers and weather, and that the locomotive line-up can change.
