Mountain Rail West Virginia runs Christmas at Cass on the Cass Scenic Railroad, departing the Cass depot in Cass Scenic Railroad State Park, West Virginia. The operator describes a steam-powered ride of about an hour along the scenic Greenbrier River in decorated and heated coaches, with limited seating also in a historic Chesapeake & Ohio caboose at the rear of the train.

Each child receives a special surprise gift during the ride, included in the ticket price. The operator adds that Cass Scenic Railroad State Park and Friends of Cass offer a variety of activities and events throughout the weekend, including visits from Santa, and that in the evening the town of Cass and the Greenbrier River Trail come alive with thousands of lights.
