About this event

On the day of the traditional Advent market in Bischofszell, the Eurovapor association runs an extra train from Bischofszell Stadt. The rides of about 50 minutes run on the line between Hauptwil and Bischofszell Nord, with a 15-minute photo stop in Hauptwil.

The operator describes a historic steam train in which the Samichlaus and Schmutzli give the children Chlaussäckli. There are two Samichlaus and two Schmutzli on board. Coffee, mulled wine, Jim Knopf punch, soft drinks and beer are sold during the ride.

Among the vehicles the operator lists as taking part are the tender steam locomotive MThB Ec 3/5 No. 3 "Choli" (built 1912), a lightweight-steel coach, the 1903 dining car "Thurgauer Stube", a second-class coach and the railcar "Möhl's Apfelsaft-Express". Eurovapor is a non-profit association run by volunteers.
