About this event

Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum, is in Saint-Constant on the south shore of Montreal. Each holiday season the museum runs a Railway Christmas programme, and its Christmas Train is the paid ride within it.

The train leaves from the Hays Train Station at the site entrance. Santa appears on the train, according to the museum. The ride lasts about 20 minutes, and seats must be reserved through the museum's booking link.

The same programme includes other activities that the museum lists separately: children can meet Santa in the Grand Gallery, post letters to Santa in a mail car, decorate gingerbread cookies and watch a screening of The Polar Express. The Grand Gallery also shows decorated vehicles, including a freight car full of toys and illuminated locomotives.
