About this event

The Bellefonte Historical Railroad Society, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, runs the Candy Cane Express from the Bellefonte Station. The operator calls it everyone's favorite holiday tradition and describes an entire hour of fun aboard a train on which Santa and his friends make a special appearance.

According to the Society, Santa and his friends parade through the passenger cars so that children can say hello, and cookies and candy canes are provided during the excursion. Departures run through the day on a few December dates, and the Society warns that tickets sell fast and that there is no waitlist for these rides.

The Society runs other excursions from the same station over the year, including fall rides, a Halloween special and a separate Sugar Plum Limited, a 30-minute winter ride held in conjunction with Bellefonte Victorian Christmas. Those are separate products from the Candy Cane Express.
