About this event

Bodmin Railway's Santa Trains, sold as Santa by Steam, offer a Christmas journey on the heritage line in Cornwall where every child can meet Santa and the whole family can enjoy festive treats at the railway. The operator highlights brass bands filling the platform with carols and seasonal favourites while passengers wait for their Santa Train to depart.

The railway's much-loved Bagnall 0-4-0 saddle tank, Judy, makes guest appearances on Platform 2 throughout the festive season and waits to toast marshmallows for a s'more treat.

On selected days the railway offers Quiet Trains for a calmer, sensory-friendly experience, and some late-afternoon departures invite children to wear their cosy pyjamas for an evening adventure.
