About this event
Bressingham Steam Museum, near Diss in Norfolk, opens for timed Christmas visits on selected days in December. The operator describes a festive adventure with the Santa Express train, the Victorian Gallopers and a visit to Father Christmas and his elves in an enchanting grotto.
Visits start in the exhibition hall, decorated for Christmas, where Santa waits in his grotto. Children with a grotto ticket receive a present. The operator says each ticket includes one ride on the Christmas train and three rides on the Gallopers, magic shows at intervals through the day, and activities such as colouring, decoration making and games in the exhibition hall.
The operator notes that the Loco Sheds, Garden Railway, Waveney Railway and the gardens are not open for Christmas visits. The cafe and sweet shop serve festive treats.
What to expect
A timed visit that begins at Santa's Grotto in the festively decorated exhibition hall, then one ride on the Christmas train, three rides on the Gallopers, magic shows and craft activities, with the cafe and sweet shop open. The operator says the gardens, Loco Sheds, Garden Railway and Waveney Railway are closed for Christmas visits.
