About this event

Amberley Museum, in the South Downs National Park near Arundel, runs its Christmas Adventure on selected weekends and two Wednesdays in December. The operator describes a seasonal train to Santa's Parlour, where families meet Father and Mrs Christmas in their cosy parlour.

The visit includes travel on the museum's narrow-gauge railway, an exclusive story written especially for Amberley, a gift from Father Christmas and the chance to have a photograph with him. After the visit families follow a trail back through the museum site and can join games and activities, send a telegram to Father Christmas in Connected Earth, make a Christmas decoration in the Pottery (a charge applies) and print a Christmas print in the Print Shop.

The Christmas Adventure ticket is an add-on to museum admission: admission must be booked as well.

What to expect

A timed ride on the Christmas train on the narrow-gauge railway to Santa's Parlour, a story, a gift from Father Christmas and a chance to be photographed with him, then a trail back through the museum with games and activities. Dogs and pushchairs must be left outside Santa's Parlour.
