About this event

Moors Valley Railway runs its Santa Specials at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest, which the operator places on the edge of the New Forest. The operator says the railway transforms into a Winter Wonderland as Christmas approaches, with twinkling lights, family laughter and festive cheer.

Passengers check in at Lakeside Station, where Christmas music plays while tickets are checked, and board a train to Kingsmere Station, home to Santa's Railway Grotto. At Kingsmere they wander through the Christmassy Winter Wonderland, visit Santa in his cosy grotto for a chat, have photos taken and collect a present from Santa. The operator says that adults and children both receive a present. Festive refreshments of mince pies, mulled wine, tea, coffee and more are included, and the train then returns to Lakeside.

The operator says that every adult and child needs a pre-booked ticket, that car parking at the country park is included, and that a selection of refreshments is available for those with dietary requirements, including vegan, gluten free and lactose free options.
