Juletog — Museumsbanen Maribo-Bandholm

Museumsbanen Maribo-Bandholm runs a Christmas train on its heritage line between Maribo and Bandholm on Lolland. The operator calls it an old tradition and says the train runs again each Christmas; its booking page describes it as the Christmas steam train with the elf.

The train is decorated and runs past farms, fields and through the forest on the way to Bandholm, where the station is also decorated for Christmas. Passengers can meet Santa Claus at the station, and the train ticket includes a small Christmas treat served in the warehouse in Bandholm.

The line opened in 1869 as Denmark's oldest private railway. The association has run trains since 1962, with, among others, the oldest operational steam locomotive in Denmark, built in 1879, and passenger carriages from 1869 to 1930. It is run by volunteers.
