Mince Pie Specials — North Norfolk Railway

The North Norfolk Railway runs its Mince Pie Specials after Christmas as a return trip between Sheringham and Holt that lasts about 70 minutes. The operator says the train is hauled by a powerful steam engine and the carriages are heated with spare steam from the engine.

Seats are reserved and passengers choose their starting station, Sheringham or Holt, when they book. The operator sells private compartments for six or eight, first class tables, bar car tables for over 18s and standard class tables. Adults receive a mince pie and a mulled cider at their seat, and children their own seasonal refreshments.

The Mince Pie Specials are a separate ticketed product from the railway's Santa Specials.

Boards at Sheringham Station, Station Approach, Sheringham NR26 8RA, or at Holt (about a mile from the town centre, just off the A148 at High Kelling; parking is ample and a small donation is requested). Seats are reserved and limited. The Sheringham train has an accessible compartment for up to two wheelchair users. Dogs are welcome if they do not sit on seats or tables.
