About this event

The Holiday Train Show® is the New York Botanical Garden's winter exhibition in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory in the Bronx. The Garden says it has delighted visitors for more than three decades and calls it New York City's favorite winter tradition.

Model trains travel over famous bridges and through familiar City settings, passing replicas of landmarks that are each crafted from plant parts such as palm fronds, pinecones and cinnamon sticks. Outside the Conservatory, the Garden describes a glowing mountain-scape with even more trains.

The show is included in the Garden's All-Garden Pass, and members enter free. The Conservatory stays open later on select evenings, and some days require timed tickets.

What to expect

Model trains crossing replicas of famous New York bridges and landmarks built from plant parts, indoors under the glass of the Conservatory, plus a lit mountain-scape with more trains outdoors. Extended evening hours on select dates offer a view of the show after dark.
