About this event

The Severn Valley Railway's Winter Steam Gala is a two-day festival of steam early in the new year, with the railway's home-fleet locomotives working a busy timetable between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. The operator notes that its heritage carriages are steam heated and that the engines are sure to be working hard.

Visitors can ride behind every locomotive, break the day at The Engine House museum at Highley, and sample real ales in the railway's pubs. The gift shops, cafes and kiosks along the line are open selling food and drink.
