Skånska Järnvägar, the operator of the steam train on Österlen, runs Christmas trains from Brösarp on two Sundays in December. The operator invites passengers to a trip through the wintry landscape, watching the smoke of the steam locomotive pass outside the carriage windows.

During the stop at Sankt Olof, the operator says sausage with bread and hot and cold drinks are served, and the price of the ticket also includes a bag of sweets for each child. A three-course Christmas lunch in the restaurant car is offered as a more luxurious option.

The operator gives the round trip as about 90 minutes.

The operator's ticket system says that in the event of high fire risk or engine failure the steam locomotive may be replaced by a heritage diesel locomotive.
