Nikolausfahrten Wittlager Kreisbahn — Museumseisenbahn Minden

The Museumseisenbahn Minden (MEM), a registered association, runs a second, separate Nikolausfahrten programme at its Preußisch Oldendorf site, on the line of the former Wittlager Kreisbahn, with departures from Preußisch Oldendorf and from Bohmte. The operator lists it on its own timetable page for that line, with separate online booking, and not among the trips of its Minden steam train.

The operator describes a trip of about two hours in a heated Kleinbahn train like those that ran in the Wittlager Land in the 1950s; its home page calls the Preußisch Oldendorf train a historic diesel train. The Nikolaus boards along the way and gives every child on the train a colourful bag, and all child tickets include the bag.

The operator reserves the right to change times for operational reasons and says exact adherence to timetables cannot be guaranteed. The same line also hosts a separate Heiligabend trip, which is a different product.

The operator states that exact adherence to timetables cannot be guaranteed and that times may change for operational reasons. Bicycles and prams are carried free of charge in the historic diesel train.
