About this event

The Midlands Garden Rail Show, originally known as The Large Scale Model Rail Show, is a model railway exhibition for the larger gauges and scales. Its organizer, Meridienne Exhibitions Ltd, says it has run since the early 2000s and describes it as the model railway show for the larger gauges.

The show offers visitors layouts in Gauge 1, O gauge, G scale and more, brought by clubs and societies. Once visitors have been inspired to build their own layout, the organizer says, they can talk to the show's specialist suppliers, who are happy to guide them towards the right product.

It is held at the Warwickshire Event Centre, on the A425 Southam Road near Leamington Spa, where the organizer lists free parking, a coffee shop and a mezzanine restaurant. Meridienne Exhibitions runs other shows for modellers and hobbyists at the same venue.

What to expect

Layouts in the larger gauges and scales, including Gauge 1, O gauge and G scale, shown by clubs and societies, plus specialist suppliers who give advice to people starting a layout of their own. Food is available on site.
