About this event

The National Festival of Railway Modelling is held at the NEC Birmingham and presented by World of Railways, the website of Warners Group Publications, which also publishes British Railway Modelling magazine. The organiser describes it as the UK's biggest model railway exhibition.

The layouts on show are selected by the editorial team of British Railway Modelling and span a variety of scales, gauges and eras. Around them are stands from manufacturers, retailers, clubs and societies, and a World of Railways Stage where modellers and industry experts give demonstrations, talks and interviews.

The organiser also promotes it as a family event. Its page for the latest edition lists a free ride-on train and a Marble Express Train Game among the attractions, and names a train manufacturer as the show's sponsor.

The show is held on a Saturday and Sunday in November in Hall 5 of the NEC.
