About this event

Model World LIVE is a Key Publishing show held each spring in Hall 9 at the NEC Birmingham. The publisher describes it as an unmissable weekend of railway and scale modelling, bringing railway, scale and radio control modellers together in one event.

On the railway side the organiser promises hand-picked working model railways from across the UK, a featured layout from the pages of Hornby Magazine and the latest layout builds from Key Model World. Alongside are scale model displays from Airfix Model World contributors, radio control arenas, slot car racing with Mission Motorsport, manufacturer and trade stands, and modelling demonstrations.

Note that only part of the show is about railways.

What to expect

Working model railway layouts, scale model displays, radio control vehicles in dedicated arenas, slot car racing, manufacturer and trade stands, and demonstrations, all in one hall. Railway modelling is one strand of a multi-hobby show.

Practical info

Held in Hall 9 at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham B40 1NT. The organiser says parking is managed by the NEC and can be booked in advance through the NEC website, and that advance show tickets are sold online through Key Model World.
