About this event

The Welsh Highland Heritage Railway in Porthmadog, a volunteer-run charity, runs Santa trains from its station just across the road from Porthmadog's main line (Cambrian Coast) station. The operator describes a short train ride to a Winter Wonderland where passengers meet Santa Claus.

All children receive a present from Santa and adults receive a free refreshment. The Winter Wonderland also has craft stalls, games for children, model railway layouts and miniature railway rides, with opportunities for photographs.

The operator warns that its railway carriages are not heated and asks visitors to dress for the weather on the day. The railway also runs a heritage centre and museum, a shop and a café at the same site.
