THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride — Wensleydale Railway

The Wensleydale Railway runs THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride from Leeming Bar station in North Yorkshire. As in the film, the train picks passengers up at the station for a Christmas journey, and passengers meet characters from the film including the conductor, the singing chefs, the hobo and Father Christmas.

Throughout the journey the original story is told by the singing Chefs, and passengers have a cookie and a sip of hot chocolate before meeting Santa. Santa joins the train and, for those on the nice list, hands out the first gift of Christmas, a Silver Sleigh Bell like the one in the film. He may also sign a copy of the book, which can be bought with tickets. Back at the station there is a gift shop with Polar Express merchandise.

The operator states that the ride is licensed by Railevents International and is operated and managed by PNP Events Ltd on behalf of Wensleydale Railway PLC.

A journey with the film's characters, the story told by the singing Chefs, hot chocolate and a cookie, and Santa handing out a Silver Sleigh Bell.

The event departs from Leeming Bar Station, Leases Road, Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire DL7 9AR (railway telephone 01677 425805). Tickets are booked through the ticketing site linked from the railway. Children sitting on an adult's lap are charged a small fee on the booking site. Carer discounts are available.
